The Disaster Management Center has announced a comprehensive plan to address potential disaster situations during the upcoming General Election.
Speaking to Ziradaily Director Pradeep Mr. Kodippili confirmed that multiple agencies, including the Department of Meteorology, the Department of Irrigation, the National Building Research Organization, the tri-forces, and the police, will collaborate to ensure public safety and disaster preparedness during the election period.
To facilitate swift and effective response, a special disaster management center will be operational starting tomorrow, November 12th. The center will remain active until November 16th, overseeing and managing any emergencies that may arise during the election days.
This coordinated effort aims to mitigate risks and provide timely support in the event of natural or man-made disasters, ensuring a secure environment for voters and election officials.
