Sri Lanka Police have implemented a special security plan across the country ahead of the upcoming general election. To ensure safety and maintain order, approximately 10,500 personnel from the Sri Lanka Civil Security Force have been deployed, with additional support from officers in the Army, Navy, and Air Force.

Authorities have also set up 131 roadblocks nationwide, including temporary checkpoints at 52 vote-counting centers to secure the election process. This extensive security arrangement aims to provide a safe and orderly environment for voters and election officials.
