The Department of Posts has designated today (November 3) as a special day for distributing ballot papers for the upcoming 2024 General Election.
Deputy Postmaster General Rajitha Ranasinghe announced that ballot paper delivery is occurring from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. today. "Today, our focus is solely on distributing official ballot papers for the 2024 general election," he stated. A dedicated team of 8,000 distribution staff, along with 2,090 post offices, are working to ensure the timely delivery of ballots.
The door-to-door distribution will continue until November 7. Voters who have not received their ballots by this date can visit their local post office, confirm their identity, and collect their ballot directly from the postmaster during office hours.
