Police Receive 168 Complaints Regarding General Elections

The police have received a total of 168 complaints related to the upcoming parliamentary elections. Of these, 30 complaints are about criminal activities, while 138 are concerning violations of election laws.

So far, 191 individuals have been arrested in connection with these complaints, including six election candidates, according to Police Media Spokesman DIG Nihal Thalduwa. Additionally, the police have impounded 45 vehicles linked to the complaints.

Meanwhile, the Election Commission has reported receiving 1,259 complaints related to the parliamentary elections, with 13 of those complaints involving acts of violence.
