Sri Lanka's Ambassador to Israel, Nimal Bandara, has advised Sri Lankan residents in Israel to minimize travel and exercise caution at their workplaces due to escalating security concerns. In a statement, Ambassador Bandara urged citizens to remain vigilant and stay informed of potential drone and missile threats as the situation shows signs of possible further escalation.
The Ambassador further highlighted that airspace restrictions have been imposed on flights heading to and from Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, and Israel in response to the tensions in the region. Sri Lankans in Israel are encouraged to prioritize safety and heed official guidance to stay prepared in case of any emergency.
