Addressing the attendees, Jayaweera stated, “I told the President that there is no strategy behind the programs he is proposing. Now, he is setting a record for the most borrowing done in the shortest period in Sri Lanka's history.”
Jayaweera also urged the public to support his alliance as a strong opposition, saying, “We are asking people to let us form the opposition. Let Anura Kumara continue his way. Our opposition is not for sale.”
