The Hydrology and Disaster Management Division of the Irrigation Department has officially lifted all flood warnings related to the Nilwala River basin. This decision comes after a thorough assessment of the situation, confirming that conditions have stabilized.

Since October 24, flood warnings were in effect due to rising water levels, prompting precautionary measures in the affected areas. With the removal of these warnings, residents can now resume normal activities, although officials advise continued vigilance in case of unexpected weather changes.

Authorities remain committed to monitoring the river basin and will provide updates as necessary.
