In response to recent security threats against Israelis in Sri Lanka, authorities have implemented heightened security protocols at the Pallekale International Cricket Stadium. Police and the Special Task Force (STF) conducted thorough search operations ahead of today's practice sessions for the Sri Lanka and West Indies teams, ahead of their third and final ODI scheduled for tomorrow.

Security at various hotels in Kandy, accommodating Israeli tourists, has also been intensified, with police actively monitoring accommodations and conducting regular patrols in the area.

This initiative, directed by SSP Kandy Division Anuruddha Bandaranayake, aims to ensure the safety of foreign visitors and maintain a secure environment during the ongoing cricket series.
