The Ministry of Health has announced a three day Dengue Eradication program starting tomorrow in Colombo, Kalutara, Gampaha, and Puttalam districts. Covering 50 Medical Officer of Health (MOH) offices, the initiative aims to prevent dengue mosquito breeding.
Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Palitha Maheepala, revealed the program comes amid rising dengue cases, with 1,874 reported in the past 21 days alone. The National Dengue Control Unit reported 41,285 dengue cases so far this year.
