Sierra Leone President Arrives in Sri Lanka

Sierra Leone's President Julius Maada Bio is set to arrive in Sri Lanka tonight (October 20) as part of his journey to the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Samoa, scheduled for October 21-26.
During his brief overnight stay in Sri Lanka, President Bio will not hold an official meeting with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, as his visit is classified as private. However, Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath will meet with him on Monday at 10:30 AM.
Minister Herath confirmed that despite the private nature of the visit, President Bio will receive VVIP security and amenities customary for a head of state.
The government is ensuring that all necessary protocols are followed to accommodate the visiting dignitary.
