Additional Day for Marking Postal Votes in Elpitiya PS Election

Today marks the additional day for government employees to cast their postal votes in the Elpitiya Pradeshiya Sabha election. Galle District Assistant Election Commissioner W.H.R. Wijayakumara announced that those who missed the initial voting date on the 14th of this month can now vote at the district office.
Election observers report that over 90% of postal votes have already been marked, indicating strong participation ahead of the election. Wijayakumara also noted that eight recognized political parties and one independent group have submitted nominations for the upcoming election.
The Elpitiya Pradeshiya Sabha election is scheduled for the 26th of this month.
