SJB states Government Accumulated Rs. 419 Billion in Loans

In a recent statement, Kavirathna criticized the government's ongoing borrowing practices, asserting that while loans are being taken, the country is not seeing any substantial relief. She provided a breakdown of the loans obtained during this timeframe, Rs. 142.2 billion on October 2, Rs. 85 billion on October 9, Rs. 95 billion on October 11, and Rs. 97 billion on October 15.

Kavirathna highlighted the alarming spending rate of Rs. 32.23 billion daily, equating to approximately Rs. 1.34 billion per hour. She urged the government to disclose how these funds are being utilized and what investments have been made as a result.
