Sri Lankans who traveled to Lebanon for employment without registering with the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) have been granted an amnesty period until January 8, 2025.
This initiative offers unregistered migrant workers an opportunity to regularize their status by registering at the Sri Lankan Embassy in Lebanon. The government encourages workers to take advantage of this grace period to ensure proper documentation and protection while working abroad.
