Two individuals were injured in separate shooting incidents reported in Gampaha and Ja-Ela today, police said.
The first incident occurred in Makewita, Ja-Ela, injuring a 43-year-old resident of Kadawatha. The second incident happened in Thammita, Gampaha, where a 29-year-old resident of Udugampola sustained gunshot wounds.
The suspects in both cases remain at large, and further investigations are ongoing.
