Bangladesh President Sahabuddin has dissolved the national parliament just before the end of the ultimatum issued by student protesters.

The anti-discrimination student movement in Bangladesh had earlier issued an ultimatum to president to dissolve the national parliament.

The ultimatum followed an announcement by the student protesters that they would not accept an army-led government in the country.

Bangladesh’s prime minister Sheikh Hasina Wajid fled the country on Monday shortly before protesters stormed the prime minister house.

The protesters have told the president to dissolve the current National Parliament by 3 pm.
