SLFP vows support for President Ranil in upcoming election

The Central Committee of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) met with President Ranil Wickremesinghe today and expressed their unwavering support for his victory in the forthcoming presidential election, according to the President’s Media Division.

The SLFP’s Politburo and Central Committee convened this evening (31st) and reached a final decision to support President Wickremesinghe in the upcoming election. MP Duminda Dissanayake stated, "Only the incumbent President Ranil Wickremesinghe has made a request in writing asking for our support."

Moreover, 92 Members of Parliament, including Ministers and State Ministers, recently met with Wickremesinghe and pledged their support to ensure his victory in the presidential election.
