Special message to the public from the Department of Immigration

.The department has says, to avoid visiting the Immigration and Emigration Department without prior registration.

The department also announces that after registration, the opportunity to get passports will be granted in accordance with a priority system.

From 01.01.2025, the government is going to start issuing efficient and secure new e-passports to Sri Lankans.

From 16th July  pre-registration can be done through the link https://www.immigration.gov.lk/ to apply for passports.
