Sri Lanka Cricket faces another setback as Binura hospitalized

Sri Lanka’s cricket team has faced another setback ahead of the first T20I against India on Saturday, as left-arm fast bowler Binura Fernando has been hospitalized due to a chest infection. 

To address this issue, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has added spinner Ramesh Mendis to the squad as a standby player.

Earlier in the week, fast bowler Dushmantha Chameera was ruled out of the three-match series due to illness. 

In addition, Nuwan Thushara sustained a left thumb injury, further depleting the squad. Asitha Fernando and Dilshan Madushanka have been named as replacements for the injured players.
