Anura Kumara meets with Japanese top official

National Peoples’ Power (NPP) Leader MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake, currently visiting Japan, held discussions today with TSUGE Yoshifumi, the State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, at the Japanese Foreign Ministry.

The meeting focused on Sri Lanka's current economic and political situation, the long-standing friendship between Sri Lanka and Japan, and future diplomatic and economic relations. Special attention was given to Sri Lanka’s upcoming presidential election.

The Japanese State Minister for Foreign Affairs congratulated MP Dissanayake on his visit. The meeting was also attended by Tsutsumi Taro, Director of Southwest Asian Affairs, Iwase Kiichiro, Deputy Director of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and several members of the Japan Committee of the NPP.
