A tragic incident occurred at Kawanthissapura, Tissamaharama, a 32-year-old woman and her two sons, aged 9 and 14, drowned in an abandoned water-filled quarry.
According to police reports, the woman’s body has been recovered, and efforts are ongoing to locate and recover the bodies of the two boys.
It is understood that the mother and her two children had gone to bathe in the quarry yesterday evening (21).
