Former Sri Lankan cricketer Dhammika Niroshana, aged 41, was tragically shot dead in Ambalangoda last night. According to police reports, an unidentified assailant fired at Niroshana while he was at home with his wife and two children.
It was reported that the deceased, 41-year-old Dhammika Niroshana, was a former Sri Lankan cricketer. He made his debut for the Sri Lanka Under 19s in 2000 and played under 19 Test and ODI cricket for 2 years.
Ambalangoda Police said that the motive behind the shooting remains unclear, and the suspect has yet to be identified.
