All Ceylon People's Congress Leader and Wanni District MP, Rishad Bathiudeen, was involved in a vehicle accident yesterday afternoon (13) at Karuwalagaswewa.
While the vehicle was severely damaged, no passengers were injured. The jeep collided with a motorcyclist on the way from Puttalam to Vavuniya.
The motorcyclist, though not severely injured, was admitted to Puttalam Base Hospital. Police reported that the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to fall into a ditch.
In another incident, MP Dilan Perera's vehicle met with an accident near the Gelanigama interchange on the Southern Expressway. Three others sustained injuries in this accident.
