Sri Lanka remains optimistic about concluding its long debt restructuring process by July.
However, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has indicated that it is still evaluating the terms agreed upon with the relevant parties.
"Our team is in the process of assessing the agreed terms of the debt restructuring and whether they’re consistent with the parameters of our programme.
Once that assessment is complete, we’ll be able to communicate our views on that," stated IMF Communications Director Julie Kozack during a press conference in Washington this week.
