Police arrested six foreign nationals who were staying in Sri Lanka without valid visa documents and one foreigner in possession of illegally imported cigarettes.
According to the Police, these foreigners were arrested during a search conducted based on information received regarding a group of suspicious foreigners staying in the Katunayake region.
Police stated that one foreigner was arrested with 1,000 sticks of illegally imported cigarettes (50 packs).
Further investigations are being conducted by the Police.
