The Sri Lanka Railway Station Masters' Union has announced the continuation of their strike action.

The General Manager of Sri Lanka Railways has issued a stern warning, stating that any Station Masters and Railway Controllers who do not report to duty by noon today will be considered as having vacated their positions.

As a result of the strike, several trains, including office trains and night mail trains to and from Colombo Fort, Badulla, Trincomalee, and Batticaloa, as well as the night mail train to Rambukkana, have been canceled.

The strike began at midnight yesterday (July 9), with the union pressing for several demands, including promotions.
