The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) has reported a 4.3% increase in the country's official reserve assets, totaling USD 5.64 billion in June 2024 compared to USD 5.41 billion in May 2024.

This rise includes proceeds from a recent swap agreement with the People’s Bank of China (PBoC) amounting to approximately USD 1.4 billion, though these funds are subject to conditions limiting their immediate usability.
