The ICC has confirmed the dates, teams, and venues for the knockout stage of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup. Trinidad and Tobago will host the first semi-final, featuring a clash between South Africa and Afghanistan, while India and England will battle it out in the second semi-final in Guyana.

South Africa, finishing the Super Eight stage at the top of Group 2, will aim to maintain their unbeaten run in the tournament. They face Afghanistan at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago on Wednesday. Afghanistan secured their semi-final spot with a narrow 8-run victory (DLS method) over Bangladesh in a rain-affected game in St Vincent, defending a total of 115/5 by bowling out Bangladesh for 105.

The second semi-final will be held in Guyana on Thursday, where unbeaten India will take on the reigning T20 World Cup champions, England. India advanced to the semi-finals with an impressive win over Australia, setting up a rematch with Jos Buttler's side. England previously defeated India by ten wickets in the Adelaide Oval during their successful campaign at the last T20 World Cup in Australia.
