The international Expo is organized by the Ministry of Industries and the Industrial Development Board (IDB). The main objective is to create a platform to bring together industry related local & international stakeholders.
This Expo represent 25 industry sectors and over 1300 exhibitors, covering a wider products and services portfolio during the 05 days of its exposition. The event is a complete package that involves International Symposium, industry related seminars, sharing experiences of industry leaders, as well as displaying of products and innovations.
Under the purview of the Ministry of Industries of Sri Lanka, the Industry Development Board (IDB) is organizing the International Industry Expo 2024 to demonstrate the status and future potentials of the Sri Lankan industrial sector and envisage the strategic success of the exhibition as the empowerment of entrepreneurial mindset in Sri Lankan society to opening the gateway for budding entrepreneurs to step into the global market arena and thereby uplift the country towards an export-oriented manufacturing economy.
Throughout the five-day duration of the exhibition, a multitude of programs such as the School Industry Entrepreneurship Circles, IDB Digital One Stop, Ceylon Plaza, Industry Credit Scheme, SEDA Startup, and SEDA Scaleup, facilitated by the Industrial Development Board (IDB), actively implemented.
IDB has set strategic targets to hold the National Industry Brand Excellence Award Ceremony in parallel to the exhibition. The most excellent brands among Small, Medium & Large scale industries covering 25 industry sectors will be awarded.
