In a match that underscored their supremacy, Sri Lanka batted first and set a formidable target of 275 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 50 overs. Veteran cricketer Chamari Athapaththu led the charge with a stellar 91 runs, while Nilakshi de Silva contributed a solid 63. Anushka Sanjeewani also played a key role, scoring 55 runs off just 46 deliveries.
In response, the West Indies struggled to keep pace. Despite efforts from Chedean Nation, who scored 46, and Aaliyah Alleyne, who added 27, the team was bowled out for 115 in 34.5 overs.
