President addresses rental income tax in Parliament

In a special statement delivered in Parliament today (18), President Ranil Wickremesinghe commented on the proposed imputed rental income tax. 

He assured that the first property would be exempt from taxation. 

The President emphasized that the tax is aimed at high-net-worth individuals and not average-income earners, according to the President’s Media Division.
