Lakshman Yapa and Nazeer Ahamed sworn in as Governors

President Ranil Wickremesinghe administered the oath of office to Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena and Nazeer Ahamed, appointing them as governors of the Southern Province and the North Central Province, respectively. 

The President's Media Division (PMD) confirmed the appointments, marking a significant development in provincial governance. With the swearing-in ceremony, Abeywardena assumes responsibility for overseeing affairs in the Southern Province, while Ahamed takes charge of the North Central Province.
