The Kollupitiya police reported the arrest of two police officers for obstructing police duties while suspiciously lingering near a prominent nightclub in Kollupitiya.
The arrested individuals include a police constable from the Mirihana police station and another from the Battaramulla office, serving as a driver to a senior deputy inspector general in the Crime Record Division.
According to police, a sub-inspector from the Kollupitiya police approached the two individuals, who were acting suspiciously and accompanied by another person in civilian clothing displaying police identification.
This encounter led to an argument between the two police officers and the sub-inspector.
