Two boys, aged 11 and 14 years and reported to be related, have tragically drowned while bathing in the Polwatta River at Yakkalamulla, Galle.
According to the police, the incident occurred while the boys were bathing in the river with their parents and other family members.
After the drowning, the boys were swiftly taken to Imaduwa Hospital, but unfortunately, they were pronounced dead upon arrival.
Yakkalamulla Police have initiated further investigations into this incident.
