Gunshots had been fired at a house of notorious underworld figure and drug trafficker Agampodi Sajith Saman Priantha alias 'Samankolla', in Idanthota, Ambalangoda early hours of this morning.
Police said no injuries were reported in the shooting incident.
However, multiple bullets struck the walls and door of the house while Samankolla's mother and three sisters were reportedly inside at the time.
It was reported that that two individuals arrived on a motorcycle opened fire, suspected to be using a T-56 assault rifle.
The Ambalangoda Police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
