State Minister Lasantha Alagiyawanna has clinched the esteemed position of chairman for the Committee on Public Accounts (COPA).

Alongside Alagiyawanna, a cadre of distinguished Members of Parliament has been nominated to serve on the committee. The roster includes MPs Tissa Attanayake, Kabir Hashim, Niroshan Perera, J. C. Alawathuwala, Ashok Abeysinghe, Sivagnanam Shritharan, Hector Appuhamy, M. Udayakumar, Weerasumana Weerasinghe, and Dr. Harini Amarasuriya. In a parallel announcement, MP Rohitha Abeygunawardena has secured the chairmanship of the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE), marking another significant appointment within the parliamentary framework.
