In a bid to facilitate the restructuring process of SriLankan Airlines, Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva has announced a 45-day extension to the deadline for calling bids, effective immediately.
The extension aims to provide additional time for interested parties to submit proposals and contribute to the revitalization of the national carrier.
Simultaneously, the Cabinet has greenlit a proposal for the government to absorb the outstanding debt amounting to USD 510 million accrued by SriLankan Airlines.
