Sri Lanka were forced into a last-minute change ahead of their T20I series against Bangladesh, after wicket-keeper batsman Kusal Janith Perera was ruled out due to a respiratory infection.

Perera was not a part of the contingent that left for Bangladesh yesterday, with selectors naming a like-for-like replacement in Niroshan Dickwella.

Dickwella last featured in a T20I in 2021, but has shown some good form in the ongoing National Super League tournament, scoring back to back half-centuries.
