The Economic and Technology Cooperation Agreement (ETCA) negotiations between Sri Lanka and India are set to reach a pivotal juncture as the 14th round is slated to commence in New Delhi during the first week of March 2024.
Following President Ranil Wickremesinghe's briefing on the current state of ETCA affairs and a review of the 13th round discussions by the Cabinet of Ministers on Monday, nine sub-committees have been actively engaging in talks covering various aspects including goods trade, service trade, rules of origin, and economic cooperation.
Notably, the sub-committee on conflict resolution and final provisions is gearing up for discussions at the end of February 2024, underscoring the intensifying efforts to advance bilateral economic ties between the two nations.
