Sirisena's travel plans unfolded with a departure from Sri Lanka's capital, Colombo, as he made his way to the Indian capital, New Delhi. At 02:50 AM local time, he boarded Indian Airlines' AI-284 flight bound for New Delhi, where he will undergo a brief stopover before continuing his journey to New York, USA.
