A doctor associated with the Anuradhapura Divisional Health Services Director's office has been arrested on charges of alleged sexual harassment. The arrest was made follwoing an investigation prompted by a complaint filed by a 29-year-old woman who sought treatment at his private medical center in Puliyankulama.
Upon receipt of the complaint, the police took swift action, leading to the doctor's arrest. Subsequently, he was presented before the court, where he was granted release on personal bail amounting to Rs. 200,000.
Additionally, his passport has been impounded as part of the ongoing legal proceedings.
