Shammi invites "Cricketing Legend" to lead SL's national team

In response to the national team's performance at the Cricket World Cup, SLC President Shammi Silva has extended an invitation to a distinguished former player to assume the coaching role. 

Without specifying names, Silva expressed the desire to bring in the country's "biggest cricketing legend" and is willing to match the salary of the Indian team's coach. 

Several decisions are in the pipeline to address the team's performance, with major announcements expected in the next three to four days following Sri Lanka's ninth-place finish at the World Cup, he said.
