President assures probe into SLC's letters to ICC

President Ranil Wickremesinghe has pledged to investigate the three letters sent by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) to the International Cricket Council (ICC). 

The President made this remarks in response to a request from Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa, who informed the Parliament that SLC had sent letters dated November 6, 7, and 9 to the ICC, urging the suspension of SLC. 

The letters alleged undue interference in the activities of SLC.

President Wickremesinghe urged Mr. Premadasa to send him the three letters, assuring that he would thoroughly examine the contents. 

This assurance comes following the Opposition Leader's disclosure of the letters during a parliamentary session.
