A 06-year-old child was killed and five students were injured after a wall of a school in Wellampitiya collapsed on them, police said.
The injured students were rushed to the Colombo National Hospital, with an additional student being admitted to the Lady Ridgeway Hospital in Colombo.
Hospital sources revealed that one of the five being treated at the National Hospital is in critical condition while the student admitted to the Lady Ridgeway Hospital has not sustained any serious injuries.
