Court of Appeal Justice Dhammika Ganepola has also recused himself from presiding over the controversial cricket case.
Earlier in the day, Court of Appeal President Justice Nissanka Bandula Karunaratne, central to the controversy surrounding the issuance of an interim order against the Sri Lanka Cricket interim committee, had already recused himself from the case. Subsequently, Justice Karunaratne transferred the writ petition to be heard before a two-judge-bench comprising Justices Sobhitha Rajakaruna and Dhammika Ganepola.
However, at this juncture, Justice Dhammika Ganepola also recused himself from hearing the petition, citing personal reasons.
