SriLankan Airlines reaffirms its dedication to Pakistan by introducing a fourth weekly flight between Colombo and Lahore, effective from October 31, 2023. This new flight schedule connects the two cities every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
In addition to this new service, SriLankan Airlines already operates four flights per week to Karachi. Notably, it is the sole foreign airline within the Indian Subcontinent that includes both of Pakistan's major cities in its network, offering direct connections between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
This frequency enhancement translates to a 20% increase in capacity on this route, providing approximately 900 seats between Colombo and Lahore each week. This expanded service offers Pakistani customers more flight choices, improved connections, and increased convenience. The flights to Lahore will be operated using a combination of Airbus A320, A321, and A330 aircraft, maintaining the airline's renowned standard of hospitality and warmth.
Dimuthu Tennakoon, Head of Worldwide Sales and Distribution at SriLankan Airlines, expressed, "SriLankan Airlines is delighted to enhance its services and presence in Pakistan, a country with which Sri Lanka shares a long-standing bilateral relationship. We are committed to making travel as seamless as possible for our customers, and this expansion will provide travelers from Lahore with even stronger connections to Colombo and access to SriLankan's extensive network, spanning the Maldives, the Far East, Australia, and Europe."
SriLankan Airlines also offers various passenger benefits, including special fares for leisure travelers and groups, an additional 10kg baggage allowance for students, and complimentary hotel accommodations in Colombo for passengers with extended transit times.
