Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Minister Vijitha Herath met internationally acclaimed singer Arash and his team at Shangri-La Colombo on October 25, following their participation in the Ceylon Music Festival 2026 at Port City Colombo.

The meeting was held as a gesture of goodwill and appreciation for Arash’s visit to Sri Lanka and his contribution to the international music festival, the minister said.

Herath also commended Big Blast Entertainment and the organising committee for their efforts in bringing together international and local talent for the event.

He noted that the festival demonstrated Sri Lanka’s growing potential to host major international entertainment and cultural events.

The minister expressed hope that more international artists and world-class events would be brought to Sri Lanka in the future, further strengthening the country’s position as a destination for tourism, culture and entertainment.
