Litro Gas Lanka has announced that all necessary measures are being taken to resolve the ongoing gas supply disruptions in the country as soon as possible.

In a statement, the company said unloading operations were underway on October 16 for a shipment carrying 3,900 metric tonnes of gas to support the country’s supply requirements.

The company further stated that it plans to release between 80,000 and 100,000 domestic 12.5 kg gas cylinders to the market daily over the next few days, exceeding the daily demand.

Accordingly, gas filling and distribution operations are continuing without interruption, the company said.

Litro Gas also announced that another vessel carrying 3,900 metric tonnes of gas is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka on October 18.

With the arrival of these supplies, the company expects to further strengthen the country’s gas supply and maintain normal distribution to the market without disruption.
