Sri Lanka Podujana United Front (SLPP) Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa was brought before the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court today (18) in connection with a bribery case filed against him.
Namal Rajapaksa was arrested recently by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) over allegations that he received a bribe of USD 800,000 in connection with the purchase of Airbus aircraft.
Following his arrest, he was produced before the court and remanded until today (18).
He was brought before the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court today for further proceedings in the case.
