The Prime Minister said education should also help develop a generation that understands the society in which they live and is equipped to provide leadership in guiding society towards a more progressive and better future.
Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya said investments in education should focus on creating learning environments that nurture future leaders capable of driving social transformation.
She made these remarks while participating in a ceremony held at Prince of Wales’ College, Moratuwa, on September 14, to mark the 150th anniversary of Prince and Princess of Wales’ Colleges.
She emphasized that investment in education should go beyond academic development and contribute to building a future generation capable of creating meaningful and positive change in society.
