The second phase of the third school term for government and government-approved private schools will commence tomorrow (07).
The Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education has instructed schools to conduct dengue eradication activities today (06) and tomorrow (07) in preparation for the reopening.
Deputy Chairman of the Public Health Inspectors’ Association, Pradeep Boralessa, said inspections to monitor mosquito-control activities at schools have already commenced.
Meanwhile, the Sri Lanka Transport Board has announced that additional buses, including Sisu Seriya services, will be deployed from tomorrow based on passenger demand.
In another development, the Department of Examinations says arrangements are underway to release the results of the recently concluded G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination before the end of this year.
Commissioner General of Examinations Indika Kumari Liyanage said the evaluation of answer scripts is currently being carried out in three phases and is expected to be completed by October 25.
Practical examinations related to the Advanced Level Examination are scheduled to commence on September 24.
